The Crowning Glory





Hair is considered as the “Crowning Glory”. It adds a dimension to our beauty and completes our physical frame of body. Healthy hair indicates health and youth and certainly catches the eye of everyone around us.
Nowadays we are constantly subjecting our hair to an array of chemical and artificial means like hair coloring, blow drying, straightening, curling, use of hair serums and other hair styling products. Prolonged use of these products is bound to ruin our hair for good. Pollution, wind, strong sun, temperature variations cause our hair to become dry, frizzy and with lots of tangles.

Diet plays a major role in maintaining the health of our hair. Stock up on vitamin C, iron, B vitamins, proteins, omega-3 and your hair will thank you!






Another interesting aspect which damages our hair is over brushing and too tight ponytails!
The 100 strokes a day will make your hair shiny and full is just a myth.

Here are a few tips to care for your hair
1.     It's normal to lose 100 to 150 strands of hair a day so don’t press the panic button.
2.     Never comb wet hair.
3.     Don’t wash your hair every day. If you use a conditioner, rinse it off with cold water as it will give a shine to the hair.
4.     Treat your hair to a wonderful deep massage with olive oil or castor oil once a week. Use warm oil preferably.
5.     Minimize the use of serums and styling products.
6.     Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
7.     Cover your mane when out in the sun or in a place full of wind.

Some home-made masks for hair

1.     Mix an egg white, curd and olive oil in a bowl and apply it to your hair. Let it stay for 30 minutes. Rinse it off and apply a mild shampoo. The result- Hello shiny hair! 


2.     Take 1 sliced banana, plain yogurt and honey. Combine it in a blender and apply the mix to your hair. Rinse it off after 30 minutes. This mask reduces frizzy hair.

3.     Applying coconut milk to the hair moisturizes it.

4.     Lemon and apple cider vinegar are the known to combat oily and flaky scalps. Combine lemon juice with yogurt or apple cider vinegar with honey and apply it your hair. 







5.     Combine avocado, egg whites, honey and coconut oil and apply the mask to your hair. It fights frizz and restores damaged hair.
