VR/AR/MR

VR/AR/MR
Ivan E Sutherland well-known as father of computer graphics did experiments at MIT Licoln laboratory & unveiled world’s first HMD i.e. head-mounted display in 1968. HMD seem to be responsible for adoption of VR i.e. virtual reality by people.
The term AR i.e. augmented reality was coined by Boeing researcher Tom Caudell and David Mizell in 1992 to describe a digital display for aircraft used by electricians that blended virtual graphics onto a physical reality while working at Boeing’s Computer Services’ Adaptive Neural Systems Research and Development project in Seattle1.
VR, AR has different uses, technologies and markets. It will be interesting to compare and understand VR with AR & MR i.e. mixed reality in tables below.

It seem VR cities, tours, movies, libraries & AR based education, living within internet i.e. experiencing it outside computers, identity recognition will become reality soon.
